LOL. In other words: "Why the **** are you asking US about it, you moron." I love it.
Sounds like Gold is going to have to cough it up, given the evidence. I predict a year of controversy... in stark contrast to the last few problem-free years of WSOP Champions.
Apparently, Leyser has a recording that says, and I quote
""I promise you - you can keep this recording on my word - there's no possible way you're not going to get your half ... after taxes," it says, according to the lawsuit. "
LOL, if he only had a crystal ball, and knew ahead of time that he'd finish so well... He sure wouldn't of made that promise!Â
He probably figured he'd finish out of the money, and that way he got to play for free.
There certainly is a stark contrast between Gold trying to back out of a deal, and good ole Steve Dannenman last year. Now there's a guy who keep's a promise.
Seems to me as if Gold is trying to find the a way to get the most money for himself after taxes. To me it doesn't look like Gold is trying to back out.
I will freely admit that I have prematurely judged him, but it's only because I listened to his interview on the "Rounders" radio show. I defy you to listen to this August 13th broadcast and tell me you don't think he's a tool.Â

I know who Dannenman is but I don't know the reference. Please enlighten me.
