    I think his "yep" was a delayed response to "u tightened up there bench" and not a reply to "u wanna check it down". Regardless, discussing future action in the hand during the hand is worse etiquette and usually a violation of the rules.

    If there was a third party that was all in, and could not participate in the hand after his all in, and you two agreed to check it down, THEN YES< you should both burn in poker hell. BUT, seeing as it was only the two of you, I don't think any laws were broken.

    2 people deciding to slow play each other like that by agreeing to check it down is a violation in my books.

    He says "I have it" after you proclaim "i thought we were gonna check?". Seems to me you got caught up in an online delayed chat. And, the more I think about it, the more I am sure it is a violation.

    He actually answer's my question "You tightened up bench" after the flop is dealt he says "yep"
    then if you read further on he then say's yep to me when we agreed to check it down.
