To Show or Not To Show...That is the Question

Hey guys,

I did some research with my free money at the .25/.50 tables 6 players max

I'm playing 2 tables at once

I started both tables with 10 dollars.

On one table i'm the quiet sneaky guy that folds winning hands

On the other table im a talker, showing cards (winning cards only)

wanna see the results:

In 3 hours of play:

I started with $10 on table one (quiet me) I am up around $23.75

On table two (loud mouth, "why did you call with that", and showing winning hands only) I have $45.23

intresting eh?

I found when i'm in pots people fear me more, cuz' I show the goods, and when I make bluffs they don't get called down. For example:

if I have K4 and the board is Ac Kc 5s I bet out, I then I type out...flush draw??? ...i continue to bet it out ...and then they fold the river.

Anyone want to counter or agree with this strategy?

  • could be an interesting experiment if you were commited to this for a while and got a huge sample size, over the couple of hours you probably played the results probably don't mean much.
  • well if more people do this with me, maybe that would be a great sample size.

Anyone wanna join the experiement? ...post your results...maybe we can add a new chapter about this :)
  • I'm very skeptical since its 3 hours and its poker. Try to hold out and do it for longer and see what happens.
