Went to sign up an account at wptonline.com and
noticed this little gem when filling out the form:

If you are located in a country where online gaming is prohibited
(such as the United States and its territories, Australia, or Italy),
it is prohibited for you to register or play the poker and casino games on this site for cash.
You are welcome to play any of our free play games.


guess they're not going to stand up for anyone's rights ?

    In light of what is happening in the US of course they are not going to stand up. WPT is a large American company which isn't going to put anyone there at risk. After taking an executive and arresting him while he changed planes on the way to costa rica why would an American corportation such as the WPT jeopardize anyone.

    No worries, most of the other sites aren't American and will stay open for business.

    WPT Online, and software supplier Wagerworks Inc are both American based companies, and have always maintained a company policy of prohibiting play from jurisdictions where gaming is illegal, or considered questionable.

    AcidJoe's post is absolutely spot on, there is little doubt that either entity would have been able to operate even before the US authorities recent actions concerning foreign nationals in senior positions with foreign companies.

    That's correct sharpe, it has always been our policy, and until we see a change in the situation in the USA it will unfortunately remain so.

    Question: Is the reason why the Season finals is now at Niagara falls cause of the lower gambling age?
