Looking for poker table lighting

I am looking for some lighting to put over a poker table. Something like what you would see over a pool table at a pool hall. Anyone sell these or know who supplies the pool halls? New or used. PM or post with details. Thanks.

  • Try KW Surplus on Victoria St. If there's "one of something" they have it, and fairly cheap/used.

I've been looking for years. They are tough to find... Ebay has some, but very expensive...
  • I was at Home Depot last week and they have a lot of lighting for poker tables or pool tables. Makes me want to buy a poker table just so I can go out and buy the lights!
  • U been tripping the light fanatic?

    I hope not, I believe that's my job. :)

$18 shipping to Waterloo I have been told... still waiting to hear back about availability (of the model I chose).

  • I just sent an E mail to a buddy of mine whose Father owned a pool hall, they may have some lying around. I would also go and see Doug at Jamieson's downtown and talk to him. He's got a ton of supplies/junk lying around and always makes deals for stuff. You may find exactly what you need for less than $100.

Actually, I'll be at Doug's tomorrow, I'll ask him for you and let you know.

Is this who you mean Sean? I'll check it out when I'm back in town in Sept.

  • Yeah, that's him. I wasn't downtown Friday like I planned, so I haven't spoken to him yet. I'm pretty sure I'll be down there tomorrow, so I'll stop in and see what he's saying.
Also, my other friend hasn't gotten back to me yet.

  • Allright, I was in Jamieson's today. He has the same kind of light as you posted, not in pewter, but in Black, Brass, Burgundy and Green. Though you could probably get him to order the Pewter. He sells them for $200 also. However, he has a plastic version of it as well,(the lamp shade part is plastic) in Black and Green, for $150. And, he has the more traditional, boxlike, light that you see in most pool halls. I think they were wood, and some were stained glass. Anyway, one of the wooden ones he said had been around for a while, and he said he'd give it to me for $175, probably no taxes. It had four light sockets, and said Poolshark on the side and had some billiard themed graphics painted on it. The stained glass ones go for about $500. If you want, I'll snap a couple digital pic's and learn how to post them. I'm downtown mostly every Friday anyway.

  • Thanks so much Sean. No pics necessary. I can check it out when I get back to Waterloo in Sept.

It's actually the black one that I want... the link I posted just didn't have a pic of it in black :)
