Seneca/Fallsview anyone?

I have a conference at Fallsview on August 21st...I'm thinking Sunday August 20th would be a great day to play some poker to fry my brain sufficiently so that I can just sleep through the conference.

Would anyone be interested in a road trip to either Fallsview or Seneca for a sun'day' full of poker?

I'm leaning towards Seneca as I hate paying for drinks but I'm not sure which place is best. To the regulars I personally am looking for $2/4 or $3/6 limit, which place is better suited to the low limits?

  • If you want limit that low go to Niagra or Seneca, fallsview does not spread limit that low.

Niagra always has 2/4, 3/6 with interest. Seneca I am not sure about, I don't play limit so I don't pay much attention. But watching the geriatric old men at the 2/4 at Niagra has always been a hobby of mine, so I know it is spread.
  • Seneca has 2/4 and 3/6 for low limits (in US currency obviously)

They also have a variety of other games such as no limit, omaha, stud, and every now and then I've seen one table tourneys. Wasn't sure if it was a satellite or not.

More importantly, they serve free booze, and amazingly the waitresses skirts appear to get shorter and shorter after every drink service.

I haven't been to casino niagara or fallsview's poker rooms b/c I couldn't imagine that their rooms could possibly be as good as seneca's....

    good luck
  • Ok,

I'm thinking we meet at Hooters for lunch around 1:00 then head to Casino Niagara?

    Who's in?
  • Imight head down, I"ll know bettor near the end of the week
  • The Hooters is actually quite resonably priced for food. And the view is nice.
  • Apparently there is a wicked wing place on Lundy's Lane called Wacky Wings. Melikebeer and I are planing on lunch there around 1:00 then head over to Casino Niagara for some low-limit hold'em.

Hope to see some forumers there! I'll be wearing my Championship Red Sox cap so if you see me come over and donate some chips to me! :D
  • Wacky wings has good variety, don't waste your time at Hooters. you want somma that, go up the road to the 'Downer...

  • To Mark, Johnnie, Mario, Shopsy, etc.

905-353-7000 is the number to reserve a seat for Casino Niagara, according to their website they have Omaha and Omaha H/L?
  • Did someone mention the Downer??

They may say the spread games other than holdem but I have never seen a game going or ever even an attempt.
  • I won't be able to make it. I'm working all day on Saturday now, so my original Saturday plans with the wife (shopping at Ikea), were moved to Sunday against my will. And I was looking forward to playing 1-2 No Limit too, dammit!!!

Yes, I've already tried to talk her into coming with us, and/or going to the Ikea in Burlington the to Casino Niagara. No dice.

Have a blast boys, I want to see a trip report.

    Johnnie
  • Sorry to hear it Johnnie, we'll do it again for sure!!!
  • Fallsview does have 2-5 limit and 1-2 NL daily.

I think you are thinking of Casino Niagara and not Fallsview Casino

Nope. Fallsview now spreads 1/2 NL as well as 2/5 limit, although the 1/2 NL doesn't always run and the 2/5 limit semi-rarely runs. The 5/5 NL is always running.

Thats news to me. The last few times I was there, the lowest they spread was 5/10 limit and 2/5 no limit. And there were times when they even said no to interest lists for 2/5 NL when there were only 5/5NL running.
  • Everyday, phone in and check. They have 16 tables now.
