Sunshine and Poker?? Need your Help Addicts

Hey guys;

Looking to book an all inclusive trip to some hot weather in the next month or two. I am trying to keep the better half happy with somewhere warm (past Vegas!!!). However, I would like to find one with a casino so I can have fun too?

Anyone on here done such a trip and have some suggestions. I have been reading that no Casinos exist in Mexico, however, have found some in other places but it appears no poker? Not sure if this is accurate or maybe I'm just research slow>????

Any help would be appreciated...

  • Sandro and I went to Aruba a couple of years ago. All the hotels on Palm Beach have casino's with poker rooms. We were there during the WPT so I can't comment on how busy the rooms are when that's not happening, but it was a hopping place then!

    It is also outside of the hurricane belt so you don't have to worry about that. There high season doesn't start until the first week in October, so you won't find package deals from Ontario, but booking flight and hotels seperately is still fairly priced.

    Good Luck!
  • Here are a few suggestions:

    1) Poker cruise. I was offered a discount to an all-inclusive cruise that has a poker option to play in a bunch of tournaments to win a WPT seat.
    2) Philippines - had a number of casinos last time I heard.
    3) Dominican Republic - casinos in or near all-inclusive resorts.

    Any of the Casinos I have been to in the DR dont have actual poker rooms.

    The only poker I found down there was Caribbean stud.

    So if you see poker advertised at the Casino - I would double check to see if it is against other players or the house.
