Almost every online site I checked is running satellites either specifically for the North American Poker Championship or the Canadian Open Championship or for a WPT "choose your event" buyin.
Full Tilt and Paradise both have "WPT choice" satellites. $200 buy-ins that you can satellite into and occasionally the Paradise one is a $500 buy-in, I don't know which days of the week are which for that.
There don't really seem to be very many real money players either. SNG's seem to take while to fill up. Is this part of some other network perhaps? I deposited $100. but not sure I could ever manage to get my $100. bonus cleared.
compuease, I think you will find it easy to clear a $100 bonus. Peak traffic is 7-10 PM Pacific with loose games at every level of play.
You can play up to 4 tables if you are into multi-tabling.
The player base has been growing steadily in the last year and we expect huge growth in the near future with several new Canadian style promotions planned like sats to Canadian Poker Tour events.
Rest assured the Stage 3 tables will be back up shortly now that Stage 1 and 2 sats are in full swing.

Interesting, I've never heard of this Action Gold network.. How big is it in comparison to the other bigger ones?

Trouble with this is if you're in the east 7PM Pacific is 11PM for us.... Stars, Pokerroom, Party, all have lots of real money players at all times.

Can and do.

We should be able to get lots of good discussion once we can post in the PokerInCanada section. Certainly willing to give it a chance. Hopefully cashing out won't be a problem...
Yep, I play at Party, Stars and PokerRoom myself but I think you'll find the cash games at PIC very loose and juicy..... well worth your time to find those soft seats to clear your bonus. I personally know someone who cleared a $1200 bonus in the 45 days. Difficult but he did it.
Glad to have you aboard and I look forward to your input in the future on how make PIC even better.
Up for some Canadian Poker Tour sats or a Provincial Poker League? I am dedicated to making it happen.
Please don't worry about cashing out...... you've never heard of TigerGaming? They've been around for a few years now and are a publically traded Canadian company on the Toronto Venture exchange.

Well 2400 players at the moment. I just did a quick guestimate and it looks to me as if at least 80% of those are play money players. Not really anything above $50. NL 25/50 cent blinds running at the cash tables, 5 tables of $25, 10/25 cent blinds, no stud, 1 table of low limit Omaha. Might take a long time to clear at these levels....
Will see how it works out over the next few weeks....... lol.. Not really to loose at all, especially compared to Party.
Yes several Stage 2's have been run and with the popularity of the WPT Niagara satellites increasing we should have the first Stage 3's running later this week.
Stage 2 sats. 1000 starting chips. I tried 2 last night. Took about an hour to fill up the 2nd one. Not uncommon for at least 3 to be knocked out before the 2nd level. Sooooted heaven!
Is the structure any different in the later stages?
I played last night under my alter ego (yplc) and cruised in the stage 1 tourny. Seriously an untrained monkey could have won that tourny with the cards I was getting. The brutal play of everyone else didn't hurt either.
So then I hopped onto a Stage 2 tourny right away and finished 5th. Some of the plays in this stage just made me shake my head.
I lost most of my chips to a guy who went all in for $900 pre-flop with 10 8 off. I had QQ and called. I lost to a straight. After that I pretty much got blinded out.
PokerInCanada, I thought you mentioned that there would be 2nd place prizes in the later stages so that you don't have to start back at Stage 1. Did they get rid of that? Are they going to bring it back?
