WPT Fallsview online satellites?

Has anyone found an online room with satellites for WPT Fallsview? Nothing on Pokerstars so far.

  • Paradise has a $200 sat and some lower buyin's to qualify.
    It's called WPT Choice.

There pretty much of a crap shoot thou...one today had 50 entries and about 75 rebuys/addons.... :D
  • WPT online itself has some running, CAD$13,715 package
  • Almost every online site I checked is running satellites either specifically for the North American Poker Championship or the Canadian Open Championship or for a WPT "choose your event" buyin.
  • Full Tilt and Paradise both have "WPT choice" satellites. $200 buy-ins that you can satellite into and occasionally the Paradise one is a $500 buy-in, I don't know which days of the week are which for that.
  • another one:

    http://www.titanpoker.com/pick_wpt.html

Titan Poker - but I assume all others on same network (Noble, CD, etc.)
  • PokerInCanada has online satellites to the WPT Fallsview with a prize package worth $15,200 US

As of September 4, 2006 the satellites have exploded with action and are running several Stage 1 tournaments per hour.

Visit the PokerInCanada Forum here on PokerForum.ca for more details.
  • I use to explode with action back in the day...now I have more stamina
  • I downloaded the software, but could only find stage 1 (1.60) and stage 2 (23.00) sats listed.
  • They took down the $210 Stage 3 sat tables a couple of days ago for lack of interest and to make room for other tournaments.

I'll request that they put them back up if you wish?

It might take a couple days this being a long weekend.
  • nah, im not that interested, just wondering how to get beyond step 2 if that is the final step being offered
  • Stage 3 is $210 + 20 or 9 silver rings

    Stage 4 is $1900 + 200 or 82 silver rings

The winner or each Stage 4 receives a prize package worth $15,200 US

  • but...there are no longer any stage 3 games?
  • There don't really seem to be very many real money players either. SNG's seem to take while to fill up. Is this part of some other network perhaps? I deposited $100. but not sure I could ever manage to get my $100. bonus cleared.
  • the software is identical to a site i used to play big deuce on, destinypoker? i think...not very busy, no
  • It's part of the Action Gold network.

    Tigergaming, Action Poker  etcetera.

compuease, I think you will find it easy to clear a $100 bonus. Peak traffic is 7-10 PM Pacific with loose games at every level of play.

You can play up to 4 tables if you are into multi-tabling.

The player base has been growing steadily in the last year and we expect huge growth in the near future with several new Canadian style promotions planned like sats to Canadian Poker Tour events.

Rest assured the Stage 3 tables will be back up shortly  now that Stage 1 and 2 sats are in full swing.

  • Happy Labour day!

Our WPT Fallsview Niagara satellites Stage 1 and 2 are currently running at 4 per hour with record traffic.

Good luck to all forum members and I hope to see you in Niagara Falls at the WPT final table!

Interesting, I've never heard of this Action Gold network.. How big is it in comparison to the other bigger ones?

Trouble with this is if you're in the east 7PM Pacific is 11PM for us.... Stars, Pokerroom, Party, all have lots of real money players at all times.

You can play up to 4 tables if you are into multi-tabling.

    Can  and do.

We should be able to get lots of good discussion once we can post in the PokerInCanada section. Certainly willing to give it a chance. Hopefully cashing out won't be a problem...
  • Hey compuease,

Traffic at PokerInCanada peeks at about 3500.

Yep, I play at Party, Stars and  PokerRoom myself but I think you'll find the cash games at PIC very loose and juicy..... well worth your time to find those soft seats to clear your bonus. I personally know someone who cleared a $1200 bonus in the 45 days. Difficult but he did it.

Glad to have you aboard and I look forward to your input in the future on how make PIC even better.

Up for some Canadian Poker Tour sats or a Provincial Poker League?  I am dedicated to making it happen.

Please don't worry about cashing out...... you've never heard of TigerGaming? They've been around for a few years now and are a  publically traded Canadian company on the  Toronto Venture exchange.

Well 2400 players at the moment. I just did a quick guestimate and it looks to me as if at least 80% of those are play money players. Not really anything above $50. NL 25/50 cent blinds running at the cash tables, 5 tables of $25, 10/25 cent blinds, no stud, 1 table of low limit Omaha. Might take a long time to clear at these levels....

Will see how it works out over the next few weeks.......  lol.. Not really to loose at all, especially compared to Party.

Has a stage 2 even been played yet? everytime i logon, the most i've seen is 1 person registerd.
  • Yes several Stage 2's have been run and with the popularity of the WPT Niagara satellites increasing we should have the first Stage 3's running later this week.
  • OK, I tried one of the stage 1's and won it on my first try. We'll see if the stage 2's go as well. Very fast blind structure though.. only 6 min..
  • Im 2 for 3 in the step 1's, im gonna try a step 2 to see whats up
  • Stage 2 sats. 1000 starting chips. I tried 2 last night. Took about an hour to fill up the 2nd one. Not uncommon for at least 3 to be knocked out before the 2nd level. Sooooted heaven!

Is the structure any different in the later stages?
  • Stage 3 is 1200 chips and 8 min. blinds.

Stage 4 is 1500 chips and 10 min.
  • I played last night under my alter ego (yplc) and cruised in the stage 1 tourny. Seriously an untrained monkey could have won that tourny with the cards I was getting. The brutal play of everyone else didn't hurt either.

So then I hopped onto a Stage 2 tourny right away and finished 5th. Some of the plays in this stage just made me shake my head.
I lost most of my chips to a guy who went all in for $900 pre-flop with 10 8 off. I had QQ and called. I lost to a straight. After that I pretty much got blinded out.

PokerInCanada, I thought you mentioned that there would be 2nd place prizes in the later stages so that you don't have to start back at Stage 1. Did they get rid of that? Are they going to bring it back?
  • Hey Ercules,

First place in Stage 2 pays 9 siver rings to get you into the  Stage 3  $210 + 20 tornament.

Second place pays 1 silver ring to give you another free shot at a Stage 2 tournament.

First place in Stage 3 pays 82 silver rings that gets you into the Stage 4 $1900 + 200 finals.

    2nd place - 2

    3rd place - 1

    4th place - 1
