$200 buyin. Lose, buy in $200 again, turns into $2317 ($17 to dealer at end). Although, its tiring on the body playing from 11pm-8am with only 3 hours sleep.
Hmmm, maybe I have played with you then. What's your name and what do you look like? I am the young looking asian guy with spikey hair. (I guess thats many of the players though)
wow neither do i....
i bet you have got a *tonne* of people spelling your name wrong growing up as well...if i had a nickel everytime someone spelled it Devon...even though its pronounced Devin
I play at the Nl game to and your right it is insane i've frequently cashed out for 1-2000. I made 5000 the last time i was there. I've probly seen you guys there. I'm the really young looking white kid. normally have spiked hair in the front with a hat on. and ya does any one know when they are going to start holding tournaments?
the table varies....sometimes, like last night, there are mostly semi-regular people who are somewhat tight...then again, a lot of semi-regular people will quite happily go all-in with less than perfect hands...
the best part last night was this fish who was high and/or drunk and on edge....he was losing a lot....and long story short, he refused to put the last of his chips into an all-in that he verbally called by saying 'i'm going to call anyways'.....huge argument, security came, but he couldn't grasp the idea of verbalally binding words....dumb thing was, he was allowed to pick up his chips and cash out and leave, without being detained....but at least the casino gave the winner ~$100
last night was my best night there so far....not the big 3-4k numbers some people have had, just a mere $1200 and i actually won it all playing shorthanded (6-7 people) 15-30 for 3 hours after being even at NL (for 8 hours)...and i had never played more than 4-8 limit before that....i don't think my limit game is all that great, which is why i had never tried higher stakes before, but 15-30 was actually nice because you could get people to lay down their hands if you showed enough strength....so i'll have to try it again
I knew that was you arkose because of your whistler hat. I was the younger chinese guy. Last night was the worst night ever! Not in terms of losing money, but in terms of flops. I tried to avoid playing on tilt, but I can't lay down AQ suited to a 15 dollar raise. Then a king comes on the flop and im forced to lay down. It was really frustrating seeing thee beauty pre-flop hands but never hitting on the flop. Oh well, I guess some nights are like that.
I still want to beat the record. Right now its at $9000 walkout for the NL. It will be VERY VERY hard to beat!
ya i thought maybe that was you...younger looking than most
i didnt get much at the NL table that night either...the only big hand i was in, $600 pot, Spike hit a 3-outer to beat me on the turn...its actually been like that all week for me...most of the big pots i've been in i was ahead when the money went in, but lost in the end...luckily, i don't go on tilt very easily, so i was only down a couple hundred for the week (before last session)....but i'm waiting for my luck to go the other way
ya 9k is the record, David accomplished that...he's such a crazy aggressive player, tough to play against unless you got the nuts...because even though he likes to gamble sometimes, he also knows what he's doing
Well today my pre-flop hands hit most of the time, which was good for me. Walked out +$1045. Was a bit more but I lost a big pot with trip aces to a Gutshot straight draw! I have pocket rockets and bet 45 preflop. Flop comes A3Q, I bet 50, he calls. Turn comes 9 making the board have two spades. I bet $125, other player calls. River comes 2. I bet $200 the guy raises by another $200. I did not put him on the gutshot straight so I called and he was holding 54 diamonds!!!
I can't belive you play there? 3/6 blinds with max buy in 200????
That's a crap shoot, luck is the biggest factor there. I was watching for a few hours there and people would jsut move all in preflop every damn hand. The buy in should be at least 600 IMO. Did they change it?
