GO BOB GO!!
I can't believe he played with Huff (this is written by Bob):
I draw table127, seat 8, for my first day of the main event. We are close to the ESPN feature table, and will not break down today. The
cards are in the air at 12:05, a rather rapid start, considering the chaos inherent in getting 2,000 poker players seated in the same
room.
I play the first hand of the day, flopping a flush to mt Ah, 10h, and getting my $400 river bet paid off, after checking twice. A few hands
later I call a standard raise from Yankees ballcap guy, holding AQ. The flop comes Qxx, he bets and proudly turns over pocket aces,
before I have a chance to act. Whew, I might have lost a couple of chips with top pair in that spot, but was saved by his out of turn
action. When he asks me what I folded, I tell him I can't remember, and write his action off to opening day jitters.
Our table is getting a lot of attention from the roving camera crews. I assume it is my handsome beaver attracting the attention, but
Yankees ballcap guy turns out to be Hank Azaria. Once outed, he did "Moe the bartender" and "Apu" for the crowd, and we got back
to the game. It must be a real pain having to do the same schtick all the time, but he accepts it as part of the gig. He did seem rather
stricken by my beaver, and we had a few laughs over that. Hank played great until well after midnight, but went broke listening to "Pete the Beat" instead of his good judgement.
I had difficulty gaining traction for the whole day, with a talented young aggressive player with a huge stack on my left re-stealing all of
my moves. Accepting my fate, I settle for survival instead of risking getting broke, finshing the day a hair under 20,000. I'll do my
gambling on day 2, hoping for a good seat draw.
Heck, I already outlasted over 5,000 people. At $10,000 each, that's a lot of turnips.
We start again at noon on Wednesday

Hank Azaria Shows His Aces... Too Early
Two players limp to Hank Azaria in the big blind. Azaria raises to $250 and gets one caller under the gun. Before the flop comes out, Azaria accidentally turns over AA (thinking that he was not called). The players appear baffled when the flop comes out Q103. Azaria bets $500 and his opponent folds. After the hand, Azaria has $10,200, and a bit of a red face.
Heh. I read about this had had no idea it was Bob!
Here is a picture of Hank. I don't think Bob is much of a ball fan ....
Bob is out.
I do not know details.
