Vancouver

Hi,
this is my first post in this forum. I'm italian and next month I'll be in Vancouver. I read that there are some poker rooms in the area, and the biggest one is in the Rock River Casino. Unfortunately I didnt find much information about that poker room over the internet, so I'd be glad if someone could tell me which games are hosted and when the poker room is opened. Are there other interesting Poker Room in the area?

  • Alright, serious response to post time.

    Vancouver has several casinos.

I was only in the city for a week last month, but I visited most of them.

Unfortunately, I can't remember there names.

River Rock is the biggest by far, in fact, it's the biggest in the country. They have near thirty tables I believe and spread everything from 2 4 limit hold em, and Omaha, to pot limit Omaha, and 1/2, and 2/5 nl hold em.

The Casino accross the street form the BC lions stadium spreads only 4/8 hold em, and 4/8 hold em with a kill.

The Holiday Inn on Broadway, accross the Burrard street bridge from Gas Town, they have few tables, and were only spreading 20/40 when I was there with 1 table running.

There is another casino out in Langley or somethng, but I know nothing about it. River Rock is out in the middle of sor of nowhere, but there may be shuttles running from your hotel.

if you take the bus out there, it's like 45 minutes, but you can catch the shuttle back into town for 12 bucks. Call the casino actually, that shuttle can pick you up as well.

    cheers
