I guess he was just joking around, I'd get bored doing those blogs all the time to. I would think there might be some truth to that though, some pros are likely exactly like the one he portrayed.
He's just having fun with the blog. The guy has been playing a lot of poker and probably needs to blow off the last day or so. He's done pretty well so far this year (of course without a bracelet it isn't that great to him).
I just saw it as very unprofessional and not funny at all really.
Maybe he is trying to have a laugh, but I can't believe he doesn't watch and think, "No one wants this on the net."
I like the updates, they show a relaxed, realistic Daniel. A guy that can get pissed off, and knows how to clown-around as well. I met his wife Lori as well 2 weeks ago, and she's a sweetheart.

I'm not saying it is great comedy but I understood it. As for looking at it and thingink it was noi good, have you watched most of the shows on primetime? Someone thinks that Reba is funny, I just can't figure out who.
I can understand the 'not funny' part, it wasn't funny to me atleast (possibly to some) but I don't understand how you can say it's unprofessional. The guy is a professional poker player, what does being professional outside of the casinos even mean?
I am going to say something here that might insight an indepth convo...but I am just going to say it and won't reply for like 10 hours. I just got in from a tourny that started at 2AM (5AM to you) I am tired and have no time to explain but I'm sure most will agree...
Poker is HUGE.
Therefore...
Daniel Negreanu IS a role model. He should act civil in public and on tv and in interviews etc..He has a video game and is always on TV..
Therefore... KIDS look up to him.
Daniel Negreanu IS a role model. KIDS look up to him.
I'll ignore the fact that I actually think Daniel IS one of the more well-behaved and upstanding poker players out there, and that he would probably make a pretty good role model, and has been a great spokesperson for the game.
So, ignoring all that, celebrities can no longer be considered role models. Movie stars, sports stars, singers, etc. stopped appearing to act in a way kids should emulate a long time ago. It's a parents responsibility to determine what is appropriate for their children, and raise them in that manner. While I don't like Daniel's video, it's far tamer than anything normally seen on MTV or Cops, which many kids are permitted to watch.
I think this video was in poor taste, but crying "role model" strikes me as a bit silly.
Hey even if he is a role model he says after that he did not dui, and you would not do it. It's a joke, relax he is not telling people to do what he acted out.
The guy pretended he was drunk for kicks. Big deal. This is such a non-issue.
I totally agree.
Also, I agree with stpboy that it probably gets a bit tedious updating every day or so, and Daniel was probably just trying to change it up a bit. Funny or not, it IS a blog, and not a prime time TV show or something.
