Vegas or Atlantic City?

Just a little thought...I think that most people would be wuick to say VEGAS BABY! But is Vegas the better place if you are looking for POKER? I dont think so. I think that between the Borgata and the TAJ that Atlantic City is a better place if you are ONLY looking to play poker. Tons of action all under one roof...obviously Vegas is LARGER, but as far as poker goes? Anyone else share my thoughts? Or have a differance of opinion?

  • i think that with the poker boom vegas in the place, not 5 years ago...but now
  • Atlantic City is a great place to go for a roadtrip.. Rent a car, stay in Absecon dirt cheap split it X ways and get your poker on.

The games may be looser in Vegas, but if you factor in the cost of travel AC is a good bet.
  • Having done several trips to both AC and Vegas I prefer to play in AC. A lot of players are bussed in and they want to play as many hands as possible in the 4 hours they are there. My experience is the weaker players are at the Taj(I'm talking low limit). Hard to find a table in Vegas with more than one weak player.
  • Are you kidding me??? I've played 4 8 through 15 30 in Vegas and have never sat at a tough table in my life, roughly 20 sessions total.

If you can't find more than one weak player per table at a Vegas game then you don't know what you're looking for.
  • Atlantic City is the only place I've seen some one get arrested "COPS" style.

Thrown on the hood of the car by one cop with another having his gun out pointed at the guy that is being arrested.
  • I used to fly to atlantic city approximately 30 weekends a year. Outside of the casino's AC is a hole. If you want to get your poker/bj/slots/gambling fix in then go. It's no different than any other casino. If you actually want a vacation then vegas is your destination. Actually Bahamas is my vacation spot but that's for everything outside of the casinos.
  • joe, what is a good price for a return flight to AC?

What is a good place to look other than the usualy expedia.ca type sites?

  • LOL I had seen him in AC. As to your question GTA, I have no clue as I haven't been down in a while. When I did go down it was usually for the day, some 2 days and I rarely paid for the flight. I don't even know if they run those flights anymore. Gamble enough and the casinos there can be very generous as can most US casinos.
