Charlie Villanueva was traded for TJ Ford.

Looks like the GM is trying to build the Raptors in the mold of the Phoenix Suns.

Ford was another top pick from the Class of 03, he wouldve gone top 3 in any other year.

Charlie V. is a solid player, I hate to see him go after such a promising rookie season. But TJ Ford is a franchise point gaurd and this guy is lightning quick.

Looks like theres room for Bargnani in the lineup after all.

    It's too bad to see Charlie go but we needed a point guard desperatley and TJ Ford will quickly become a fan favourite. I love the way the guy plays and pushes the ball. Hopefully Charlie V will suffer the Sophmore Slump and Colangelo won't take too much slack for the trade.

    Charlie was a great guy in TO. But for once we are now have a solid pt. guard for the first time in team history, gotta give up something to get something. Should be fun watching TJ fly up and down the court, plus he will play more d then charlie
