Universal Child Care Benefit

For those members with children under the age of six, you might find this link of interest.  Apparently the new $100 monthly tax credit must be applied for and it is not necessarily automatic.  It starts in July 2006.  FYI.

    However, you must apply for the Universal Child Care Benefit if you have not previously applied to receive the Child Tax Benefit.
    FYI - if you already receive the "baby bonus", you don't need to reapply.
