IF YOU WIN THIS YEARS MAIN EVENT, YOU WILL GET ANOTHER 10 MILLION ON TOP!

I keep getting full tilt spam and I read if your a full tilt poker player and win this years main event they will give you another $10 million on top for a total of $20 Million.

Now if you do the math on the final table there are 10 people.

Why doesn't everyone on the table collude to let the full tilt poker player win, then agree for a massive chop ...Everyone will have at least $5+ million dollars....

anyone wanna counter?

  • aren't you the guy that gave up poker? or am i confused?

sorry, just curious..don't mean any offense
  • Ya, but I still watch from the sidelines. I watch the angles but don't have the sack to play them anymore.

But i'm curious, wouldn't a nice chop for the final table be good? each getting at least 5 million or more?
  • is a chop the same thing as a win?

u have to win the m.e....

and isn't it true that wsop doesn't allow final table deals?

so....i'm guessing it wouldn't be possible to do this...
  • True, the WSOP does not "allow" chops....but that is NOT to say they do not happen, they do and have - and there are threads on this forum that talk about that issue...I know, I started a thread on it a while back (last year around WSOP time perhaps?)

Original poster makes a good point. With an extra $10million up top to a FullTilter, it would make most sense to let him take it down - but my guess is this would not be done until there were 5 or less players to go (just a guess)...

I mean, they would be stoopid NOT to let the FullTilter win because its just more money to chop up, end of story. So yeah, there could be deals made based on which online site the final tablers come from.
  • How much over and above the prize money do you think Moneymaker, Raymer or Hachem have made over the past couple of years. If you had a shot at winning, would you lay down for 2 million and give up on the extra potential income?
  • Don't forget about the bracelet. Thats what matters

Being a World Series of Poker Champion.

I'm sure you can get one on ebay.

I strongly doubt anyone would give up their chance to win the WSOP Main Event for a few million on top of the millions they will already be guaranteed by being at the FT.

Who's to say that the players chop the prize money but play for the Bracelet? Just winning the bracelet alone has to be worth a few extra million.

This was the only one I could find.
  • here is an idea: Give the Full Tilt guy the Money & Bracelet.

Chop the winnings, then arrange with WPT to host a "GRUDGE MATCH" if they put up an additional 10 Million Dollars...Call it WINNER TAKE ALL....WSOP BRACELET & WPT $10 Million!

hahaha. Won't happen but you can customize the event....I just think this, if you grinded it out for 5 days, and your only gonna win $3 million cuz your gonna get your aces cracked....Then why not split for an additional 2 million?

2 million is alot of money....I rather secure $5 million, then $3 million no?

2 million...3 million...5 million....in my world, I'll take ANY of it. More money than I have EVER seen, I wouldn't give a rats' ass about chopping it at all.
  • My point exactly!

a chop is indeed the way to go here. Big deal a Full Tilt player won the bracelet on TV. Everyone will know why he won. If they all chop, then they can go on High Stakes Poker and play for real money each hand!

EVERYONE STARTS OFF WITH A MILLION DOLLARS AT THE TABLE

Now that would make good TV!
  • so.....would they have to "stage" the final table play if a chop occurred?

I mean, they couldn't just shake hands and walk away, FT wouldn't pay that obviously.....so then, chip dumping would have to occur....a clear violation isn't it?
  • if they made a deal, it would be in private, they would continue to play until there was a winner.
  • exactly......so they would continue to play....and just how could they ensure the FT player wins?

see the problem? FT won't pay unless the FT player wins, and how do u make a chop agreement which also allows for the FT player to win all chips without dumping?
  • yeah, i wasnt paying attention. you are right, the players would have to get crafty.
