Correct play or did I donk off some chips?

Did I make the correct play?
Did I have no business being in this pot?
Or did I just luck out against two solid hands?

Your input would be greatly appreciated.
PS: Let me know if the graphics are annoying or make the hand easier to read.

Comments

  • Fold preflop (both times). Postflop is good.
  • Preflop: Fold. Your hand is interesting, but your position sucks. Easy fold UTG unless maybe you're in the most passive game in the world (and even then it's marginal at best and only with deep stacks). Even after the BB raise, calling is sketchy since you still have people to act behind you (and the BB raise should signal huge strength). Although he should have raised more with all the limpers.

Flop. Calling isn't horrible. It's a flop apt to have hit a lot of people. I don't hate raising either. If you manage to knock out a hand like KQ, KJ, A9 you might pick up a few extra outs. Of course if you're already up against aces up, a set or a straight, the only outs you have are the hearts. Once you have the multiway crazy action of multiple allins I think you easily have odds to call with your 9 nut outs, and possibly a K or 9 "might" be good (probably more likely the K than the 9).
