Anyone use odds calculators?
in Online Poker
Hey, anyone use online odds calculators when you play online? I've been doing some research on some that are available, and I found Calculatem.com, which is good, but makes you make a deposit on one of their poker sites to access the prog for free. There was another i found, pokeroddspro.com, it's free and simple. Anyone have any advice? Anyone use these things??
Thanks

I know how to use an abacus, and I'm serious. I got my teacher license and then I just became too lazy and never bothered to keep going further (kind of like black belt in Tai Kwan Doe - you can keep going).
BTW Wes, that 'greg' guy should be banned. He is an obvious shill for these pokeroddspro guys. Just look at his other post!
My answer is yes to the above. I can actually use both of those. RPN is a must for engineering calculations. I haven't used either in about 10 years now so I'm probably rusty.
And to answer a question most poker calculators I've used or seen are not very good (those for using in real time). I much prefer to analyze after the fact with SNG power tools or poker stove and analyze my play.
For odds, I'll enter:
"To Call" #
"Current Pot" #
"Outs" #
These 3 variables read off a standard pot odds chart and show me the Hand odds vs pot odds if I'd like to see 1 or 2 cards and shows a big
green YES or red NO.
It's also got an "M" calculator, I'll enter:
"# of Players"
"SB Amount"
"BB Amount"
"Ante Amount"
and the stacks for each of the 9-10 other players.
It shows me their respective M's and even changes the colour of their M based on Red/Orange/Yellow/Green so I can look beside their name and
see what colour M they're on. I'd say it helps close to the end of a SNG to tell if the short stacks are playing with M in mind or not - helps you duck the odd
big hand (if they haven't shown any signs of aggression while their M drops through the floor).
Continually entering the players stacks can be a challenge, but as you work down to 5 or less, it's actually very managable. (I also spend a lot of time working with
numbers, so the number keypad is easy for me to keep up.)
Like I said, real simple and the price was right, lol...
i think online makes 2 big hang go against each other to create action.
I seen a guy took me down with runner runner 4 of a kind...
i was like wtf are you serouis?
