Tony G vs Mike the Mouth

I was watching the Montecarlo Millions tonight and saw a hand that was just priceless.

The mouth is on everyone just about every hand they show, never shutting up, and just relentless.

The following hand takes place (from memory).

UTG, Mike raises all in to 107K with A7 off (pot was roughly 12K) and it goes around to Tony G in the SB. He has AQ and calls as he has him out chipped 4 to 1.

Mike say to Tony, don't worry a 7 is comming. Tony is very quiet. Sure enough a 7 comes on the flop and Mike says something to the effect of you can't beat me or play as good as me. The turn is a blank and the river is a queen.

Well Tony G lets Mike the Mouth have it, starts jumping around waving bye to the mouth. Mike says something to Tony (not heard on TV) and Tony keeps rinding him. The last thing you hear is Tony saying to Mike, tell everyone how good you played that hand!

I just about fell off the couch laughing so hard.

Tony G wins round one.

BTW, I was watching this on FSN sports on a FTA receiver. I recommend anyone with a old DTV dish to go out an get a new receiver. No cards to clean and very easy to use.

  • I saw that. I'll bet Mike is still crying about that.
  • I thought the mouth was at his best at this years WSOP Tournament of Champions. He gave Hellmuth the gears over and over again..it was priceless and then he went on to win it. I watched it again on TSN the other night but it was kind of dissapointing because they didn't show the full episode. I guess I will have to dl it again!!

Not watching too much PPV lately, eh?
  • The movies are down now, all but one channel ----The Hostel. What a sick movie.

    They will come back.
  • I love watching those 2.. against eachother or not.. the thing is, tony G seems like a decent guy.. after hte game, he'll shake your hand, and appologize, saying it's not personal, that's just how he plays the game.., mike seems like a douche to me.. anyone else with the same observations?

    I would say the opposite.

Although I agree with the while douche comment I would rather play with Mike. I would be too tempted to pull Tony G outside, his apologizes are too little too late.
  • what episode was this, im gonna download it, sounds entertaining

on the contrary, his apoligies are perfectly timed.. his game is to get inside his opponents heads and under their skin.. I agree he takes it a bit too far sometimes, but appologizing earlier destroys his game plan.
  • I cannot stand either players... but i really don't get why people allow themselves to be anoyed by such motor mouths. I guess i might just be born with some innate ability to ignore people... It sure helps at the poker table though :)
  • I cant stand either of them also, I find it childish to resort to such tactics, I say let the results of your play speak for itself.
  • Man, that sounds like a great hand!!! I'm dying to see the whole thing. Does anyone who has non digital cable know when this is aired, or will air again? Thanks for any info.
