Casino in Regina...

I am being sent to Regina for a week to attend a conference at U of Regina - People have told me that there is a Casino there - Any info on its proximity to the Univeristy or Airport would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure where the University is, but the casino is located pretty much downtown. Downtown isn't that close to the airport... a 20 minute cab ride IIRC.

I love that place. I've only ever been there for tournaments, which take place in their showroom, but their "regular" poker room isn't bad at all. Maybe 8 tables or so.

Late at night, I wouldn't want to be walking around that area by myself with a lot of money in my pocket. Just something to keep in mind.

Whaddya mean late at night? "Do you know where I can get a drink at 9am?"
  • I live in Regina, so maybe I can help you out. The casino is no more than a 10 minute cab ride from the airport and is on the corner of Sask. Drive and Broad St. and was made out of the old train station, so it's actually pretty nice. The university is in the south end of the city and is straight down on Broad St. which then turns into Wascana Drive.

Right across the street from the Casino is the Delta and it is connected to the casino via a walkway. Any downtown hotel will be relatively close to the casino. Other than that there are a few hotels in the south end on Albert St. or the east side. The airport is on the west side of the city. There are always cabs outside the casino at night, so no worries there.
