As for the AQ hand, if I had a shorter stack, I would have pushed. I just didn't feel great about moving in for 20XBB preflop with AQ... seemed a little excessive.
Cheers,
Devin
TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, AQ
I am crushed by 5 of his holdings, and racing against the other two. I don't love that situation. I don't think we can widen his range of hands any more than that, because he was not desperate at 15XBB, and I doubt it was a "move" after the raise and the cold call ahead of him.
As for just moving all-in over top of the original raise, I wanted to see a flop without an ace or a king on it before committing the rest of my stack.
That's how I roll!
But, your arguments are valid... different strokes, different folks, and all that jazz.
Hand 1: 34.8782 % 34.68% 00.20% { 8c8d }
Hand 2: 65.1218 % 64.92% 00.20% { KK-TT, AQs+, AKo }
So it's a call against this very tight range getting 2:1. If we put 99 in his range i think we should also include AQo and then it's even better.
equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 35.6410 % 35.43% 00.21% { 8c8d }
Hand 2: 64.3590 % 64.15% 00.21% { 99+, AQs+, AQo+ }
Occasionally we'll pick off a squeeze play from something like AJs or maybe even 77 when we're lucky, so overall this isn't a greatspot but I think it's too good to pass up on.
