My biggest cash pot ever !!!

At Fallsview on Saturday 5-5NL...

I start the hand with $2150.

UTG raises to $25, he has me covered, this is a guy who pushed all in for $1000 pre flop with AK suited against my KK two weeks ago and won, when I had about $800 in front of me. Ming should remember him.

it's folded to me in the cut-off I call with 3h3c.

Button and one blind also call.

Flop is Qh 3s 2s.

UTG bets 50, I raise to 200.

Other two fold and UTG calls.

Turn is 7d.

He checks, I bet 300, he calls.

River is 10d.

He goes all-in.

There is $1105 in the pot and I still have $1625 in front of me.

I went into the tank for a bit, I couldn't put him on a hand that beat me, with the way he played it, so I eventually called.

He asked what I had, I showed and then he mucked... I should have asked to see his hand, but didn't, I think it was either AA KK or outside chance of Q10

Pot was $4305 in the end.

Woo hoo.

  • Holy crap. NH!! Bring lots of it on Friday.
  • Wow. I remember that guy. He's like teach on adrenaline with no stop. I guess he could also have 22. Very strange. Fuck, you didn't see his cards. This is the one mistake you made in the hand. :) Nice hit!
  • We went on Sun afternoon. Some of the games were ridiculus. I had the following exchange with a guy at the table. I just moved to the table and I posted 2 from the button. Big stack raised to $35 utg, one caller. I looked down at my post and saw KK. I reraised to $135. Cutoff folded and button started to think. Finally he reluctantly mucked his hand. UTG called and we were HU. Flop was T high. I had about $270 left. UTG put me all-in. I called. He had TT and I mucked my hand when I didn't hit. Button then said he folded JJ. He asked me what I had. I said I had air. He didn't seem to understand. So I said AK. He said, "ah, that's what I put you on. if utg wasn't behind me, I would have put you all-in." I laughed and told him he should have. After the button said some more nonsense. The cutoff who had a bit more clue told him "don't worry, you did the right thing." lol. Poker is great.
  • I was there on Sunday afternoon too. It was very crazy at my table. Only stayed to 4pm since I was up 1100 in 3 hours.

Here is a sample of some the hands.

    1) A :h: J :h: raises to 30 early gets reraised to 130 by KK. Flop is Q :h: Q :d: 5 :h:. AJ bets out 100, KK puts him all in, for another 100. Turn A, river brick. I'm not in that hand.

    2) Same guys drifts down to about 290. he raised to 30 on button with one limper. It's my BB I call with AK and limper calls.

flop is A :d: 8 :s: 6 :s:. We check to him he bets 60. I raise all in. limper folds. he thinks for about a half second and calls. turn J he has AJ again. lol

    3) A very agressive player who raises big preflop with anything, makes it $50 to go preflop, he is UTG.

I call on the button with 1010. blinds fold.

Flop is 10 9 6 rainbow. He bets out 200 and has about 90 behind. I raise him all in. He calls quickly...

    He turns over 10 4 off. :D
  • I think I may move to Niagra. How were the wait lists?
  • I think the list were crazy in the evenings.

I showed up in the afternoon and was able to get on a table right away.

You can call ahead if you driving in an get on a list with the time you're going to show up...

The poker room number for Fallsview is 905-371-7777
  • Yeah, I was on the list for about 3h. I called ahead at around 6:00pm.
  • What is the biggest called pot that you won/lost with a crap hand (say no pair)? I lost one over 3k last year at Wynn with 9 high. Last night at a local 2/4 nl game I called a $230 reraise on the river with 8 high. I lost. The pot was $925. lol.
  • I won a $800 pot at Neils with A high. Thats not quite as cool as calling with 9 high and losing though.
  • You won at Neil's? Which century?
