Rebuy Tourney: Hand 5, Sending the message: I'm going all-in on the flop every hand

This was the hand immediately after the KK where I had also moved all-in on the flop (with no showdown). I thought this might inspire someone to try to make a brilliant play trying to pick me off with a mediocre hand.

It's also nice to let the opponents know I'm going to throw my whole stack at them fairly often.

After this hand, all aces [observer] said, "bully" to which I replied:

ScottyZ said, "yeah, he was"
ScottyZ said, "betting 200 at me like that"

Making your opponents seem lame while still being mostly polite. I liked that exchange. :)

  • Good play, can't let them outdraw you...
  • It's also nice to let the opponents know I'm going to throw my whole stack at them fairly often
While I agree with this thought, I probably still would have played this hand a little slower. Not too slow, but slower. For example, I might have raised to 800 or 1000 on the flop.

I do see where you're coming from, though. You'd just moved in the hand before, and now you want people to think that you're in 'move-in maniac' mode. Too bad he didn't call. ;)
