Does anybody know if all the quoted buy-ins and prizes are in Canadian dollars or American pesos? Will all the American professionals have to convert their money into Canadian dollars first then convert any winnings back to American dollars?
The WPT at Fallsview will consist of at least four events, including the Canadian Poker Championships ($2,500 buy-in) and the North American Poker Championships ($10,000 + $300 buy-in) and both will be televised. The other two lead up events will be $500 and $1000 entry, but not televised. The events will (most likely) be in the Avalon Ballroom and satellites should start in June on a daily basis. Satellites will be $1060 single table winner gets a seat, and $540 two table winner gets a seat. There will also be super-satellites into both of those; one for $140 (into the $1060) where the winner gets a seat, and second gets a voucher to play again for $140; and the second for $70 into the $540 with second getting a voucher to play the $70 again.
Does anyone know if there'll be a spot for non-enterants to railbird from? It would be cool to watch qualifed CPF members battle the Show Ponies of the WPT.
Too bad I'm far too poor to play this, wuld be awesome to play in such a tourney. however, I might come up to see some final table action, maybe see devo at the FT and hear him talk about it for 2 years
If the costs are correct for the satellites I'm definately going to play one or two, or three naw I'll win within 2. I may even play the smaller non televised tourneys.
