I have pics for you all

So I am going to Miami tomorrow (Thurs) to a conference.

I got roped into sitting on a panel of poker industry people and I wish to solicit some opinion here.

if you have a thought, please please post some reply.

Thanks - here are my topics for consideration:

Poker:

Rake back – What is the real percentage of players participating in rake back promotions? (please mention if you have ever  or are currently getting any kind of rake back)

What percentage of poker players migrate to Blackjack and other games offered by the poker room? (have you ever played casino games online as well as poker?  BECAUSE of a casino promotion sent to you by a poker room?)

What are the top games favored by players? (LHE?  NLHE?  What stakes?  Other games (stud, OHL, OH8))

Thanks again people.

Rackback -- I absolutely participate. I have rakeback at 4 sites. The best beint 58% from Bet Hold'em.

Blackjack -- I rarely play blackjack but have along with craps on line. I still much much prefer them live to online. I did slots only once (I hate slots) because I was given 1000 free spins and if I won got to keep the money

I play everything limit nl omaha 7 card stud anywhere from .5/1 to 2/4. I still prefer sit and goes up to $50 and heads up still again.

    Hope this helps you out.
  • I used to get rakeback on Eurobet before it split from Party. Now I don't because it's better to play against donks then against tough players and get rakeback. Also I've switched to tournaments almost exclusively. Most popular games are NL Holdem tourneys, NL cash games, and LHE cash games. I also play some Omaha (Pot limit Hi, Hi/lLo and fixed H/L) and Stud Hi/Lo all of which are somewhat popular and seem to be gaining some attention as people get bored with Holdem. I've never done the online casino thing and have no desire to.
  • Great.

    Keep the responses coming.

    MUST HAVE MORE INFORMATION!!
  • I use rakeback. I play mostly limit ring up to $10/20 but mostly $2/4 to $5/10. I rarely play nl ring but usually like to play nl rb tourneys up to $20 buyin if I have time during my session. If I don't have time for a mtt but can squeeze in an sng I will play limit and nl sng's up to $50.

I don't play bj on poker sites but have done online casino's on occasion where the bonus offer is too good to pass on.

I've never used rake backs, I move my money around from site to site getting reload bonuses as they are offered.

I dabbled a bit in Black Jack, some of the bonus offers were too good to pass up, after losing $300 in a matter of minutes I took a huge step back and realized it was not worth it for me, the game is absolutely boring and the risk is too great so I have never since nor will I ever again play anything other then poker. (Mind you, even with losing $300 I think overall I was still up)

I play low limit hold'em .50/1.00 or 1.00/2.00, a little bit of $25 NL, love the $5.50 and $11 sng's on Stars as well as the cheap $3.30 MTT's....hopefully someday I'll have the roll and the talent to move up. I don't play stud or Omaha very much, I realized how bad of an Omaha player I was when in a recent home game DrTyore had to go home leaving me to finish his SNG where he was currently sitting 1st in chips out of 4, top 3 pay.....I think I went out in 4th before he got out of the driveway?
  • I don't participate in any rakeback programs (I don't think I play enough to bother with it.)

I've never played any other games on-line.

    I play mainly Limit hold'em short handed (.5-1, 1-2, 2-4, 3-6) and small buy-in SNGs no more than $10 buy-in

Hope this adds to your sample size.
  • I don't get rakeback, but I play micro limits so I'm not sure it would make a big difference.

I played Baccarat online a little until I was stuck half my bankroll, at which point I decided that I would never touch non-poker online again.

I play limit HE ($.25/$.50 -> $1/$2) and fixed/PL OH8 ($.25/$.25 or $.05/$.10 if PL) in ring games. I play NL HE sit-n-gos and tournaments and the occasional OH sit-n-go usually $5+$.50 or $10+$1. Strictly smalltime. I'm not really interested in winning or losing thousands.
  • No rakeback, but bounce around sites when bonuses are released.

I do not (and will not) play other casino games (on-line or live ;) ) - strictly poker.

For playing, it's about 80% NL, 15% FL, and the rest is occasional forays into other games (Omaha, Stud, Triple Draw, etc.). Current limits are usually micro (less than 0.25) for the mixed games, NL is .50/1 cash or $20 or less tourneys, and FL is 1/2, although I move up whenever my bankroll safely permits.

Interested, just not there yet :)
  • thanks again all.

The input is greatly appreciated. If anyone else would like to chime in, I am happy to take the opinions and add them to the discussion.

Cheers (and I will take some photos of the talent here in Miami for anyone wishing to see).
