The cost:  Buy-in $10. Freezeout. There are no re-buys or add-ons available.

The game:  No-limit hold’em. This is a “deep chip” tournament. Everyone will start with 2500 chips and levels will be 20 minutes long. The last tournament has 130+ players and took over five hours to play. You get a lot of play for $10.

Perks:  Special Dave “DAS_DAS” Scharf bounty. Knock out DAS_DAS and you will get $250 in tournament credit at PararisePoker. Dave gets this honor because he was the highest finishing member in the last TCP tournament. (Dave was the bubble buy – finishing in 11th place).

More perks:  ParadisePoker.com will bounty the remaining “also rans” of Team Canuck:

Wanted:  All_aces $50 (Devin Armstrong)
                 turniptruck $50  (Bob Jarrett)
                 FastWilly $50  (Ralph Mair)

- - In every other regard, this is an ordinary ParadisePoker tournament. Payouts, etc will be in accordance with their usual rules.


HOW TO TAKE PART:

STEP 1:  Click on any of the ParadisePoker.com banners on this site. You will be taken to a website where you can download the client software. [Note that the virtual poker room is not accessed from a website, you MUST download the software to your PC.]

STEP 2:  On or before June10, 2006 click on "Tournaments" in the bottom left of the Lobby screen (the lobby screen is not accessed from the web. It is part of the client software that you have just downloaded).

STEP 3:  Click on the “Events” tab

STEP 4:  Find the "TeamCanuck" tournament (they are listed by date) and double click.

STEP 5:  Click “Register” at the bottom right.

STEP 6:  Click the "Register and pay buy-in" box. You will need to fund your account in one of the ways that ParadisePoker.com offers.

STEP 7: Enter the password “Canuck” (password is case sensitive).

STEP 8: Bust all four of us (collect $400), win first place (collect even more), and brag to your friends.

NOTE:   If you are not familiar with the ParadisePoker software then I recommend downloading it and playing in the free games prior to our tournament so that you are comfortable by the time of the Big Game.

One quick question, I'd love to play and so probably would my gf. We both have accounts but would be sharing an internet connection through the router. What's paradise like when that happens. I know in cash games or sng's we are barred from playing for obvious reasons, but what about during tourney's?

Jenn and I have had no problems in MTT's there.

thanks trevor. I needed that info, because I didn't want a problem. We have 3 computers wired in the house so we can play especially at different tables but I didn't want the whole Zeejustin thing to rage.

Joe, you and Aimee will have a blast playing in this tournament. I was at Devin's table when he was posting and folding, but I got move 10 mins before he finally busted out! Damit!!!

I'm still sad that I have to miss it....

I was on that table that Devin went out on.
Even funnier, I had the chance to take out DAS_DAS with my pocket nines, however with one guy in early went all in, the Dave calls
Dave has 44,and EP has AQ,
i would have won that one...
better yet i made the final table, and when in BB i hold KK,
There was the button who raised 3X and the call from the SB, heck i just smooth call

man, still won 50 bucks, but....
i don t remember which one hurt more.

I took a few bad ones, but I also sucked out a few (thus Devin's bounty), so it's ok. I'm most dissapointed with how I went out with KQ. I was saying to myself (and those watching) that I was only worried about AK, but didn't have enough chips to find out for sure, and was too short-stacked to fold. I pushed, and he had AK (of course). Oh well.
