how to know how many chips per player ?

Hi,
i 'm french, and i find this forum very interresting
I would like to know how many chips per player should i give for a typical home game of 8 players...or less.
do you have any excel sheet to calculate the number of chip...

    Keep the starting number of chips under 50. Set your chip denominations to reflect that and I use 1500T to start with. I use 15 x $5 13 x $25 6 X $100 1 x $500 for 35 chips equalling $1500T. I find this gives adequate change around the table for others and I start my blinds at 10/20.

    i think that will use your exemple and probably adapted for other table.
    because on www.homepokertourney.com i don't find how to calculate the buying and chip number per player.
