The new poker chips.

Has anyone got a feel on the new poker chips that will soon flood the market.
I have the pretty nice dice chips that I like quite a bit, but there is a new set that i think looks pretty damn sweet.
Does anyone, (Neil have you got'em?) have or have seen and played with the new "Tri-Color Double Dice Design Chips".
Just wondering if we will hgave them in home games soon.

  • Hey CanadaKev,

Sounds cool... do you have a link?

    Thanks,

  • I hope this doesn't take this thread into the land of advertising... if so, just delete this particular post please. I Googled the chips, and found this: http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=10-1900-500s
Click to enlarge. They're pretty cool looking.

  • Cool!
  • Dem's da ones.
    Ya they look pretty good.
Sloth we ever gonna get a look at these?
  • ... and Kems, and the fancy dealer button?
  • cool, its nice to see more designs out there. Its been the same 3 or 4 styles for the longest time now. I thought someone would have created a new design and made some money already...
  • Cool, but will probabaly be a bit expensive!
  • those are all abs plastic chips. good chips but not clay or even resemble close to clay.

yes they are expensive but they are all very slippery so its hard to stack or grab in stacks if you know what i mean.

check out this link for clay composite chips:

  • there will be a new style introduced on pokersupplies.com before October. That's all I'm saying for now :) They've been ordered and paid for,....should be on a boat in the next few days...and to date, I haven't seen these ones anywhere else.

That's a good point. I'm not a big fan of the abs plastic chips... I had my first experience with them in the casino in Halifax. They are impossible to shuffle, for one thing, and they tend to stick together in even the mildest of humid conditions. They look great, but the feel and the sound of clay or clay composite chips can't be beat IMHO.

  • here is a sneak peak at the new chips coming:

  • I'll probably erase this pic @ the end of the day.
  • Hrmm, it doesn't fully load for me, even when I go directly to the picture's url...

It loads up to the $100 chip, then cuts off everything after that.

    Cool chips though.

Ya, it was just a quick (and careless) screenshot I took..and the $100 chip is cutoff a bit, so it's not that it's not loading ;)
  • Yeah, I had the same problem with the image not loading fully. I think having the denominations on the chips has its pros and cons. Convenient if you actually want to use those denominations, but restrictive if not. For example, I don't see the too much need for having a $10 chip generally... better IMO to have a few $500's or $1000's.

They look like cool chips though!
  • Agreed. that's why I ordered VERY few $10 chips...did order $500's and $1000's though :)

    $1, $5, $25, $100 's make up the bulk of the incoming shipment :)

I have some samples @ my place...for friends that have actually held/seen them, they really love them.
  • Are they clay, clay composite, or abs plastic?
  • they are a ceramic/plastic blend. Kinda hard to describe.
  • You should be concentrating on getting my special dealer puck instead of new chips. I already have chips.... ;)
  • Ahhh, the elusive puck... I am eagerly awaiting its return to the pokersupplies.com website as well.

  • and some clothing...
