Freeroll Junkie

I don't like playing poker on the net, can't get over the fact that it's a "vidoe game" and tend to do things that I would never do in a live table so now I only play freerolls. I gotta say, it's a lot of fun. When you don't really care of the outcome that much and there is no "presure" you find yourself doing carzy thing and getting paid off. Party Poker freeroll- 5100 player, finished 20th for $3.50. When u hit rags to take down much better starting hands you can't help but laugh out loud, very loud. Anybody else a freeroll junkie?

I too have a hard time playing on-line. I find I tend to think people are bluffing a lot more then they really are and end up losing.

I do also enjoy playing the occasional Free-Roll but I still try and play it as I would if it was real money. I also try and use it to improve my game and analyze some things that I did right and wrong.

I think you have to be careful playing too many Free-rolls as you may begin to let the Free-roll play affect your real game. I know this happen to me once after I played a few Red Hot Poker Tour games.
  • So you played about 5 hours to make $3.50?
  • Freerolls rule!

I like playing them for two reasons - fairly easy money sometimes with no investment and also the fact I can as you said try diifferent tournament plays without monetary risk and see what happens.
  • If I play a freeroll I usually sit the first hour out so the "all in fest" is mostly over, but first the most part I dont play them very often.
  • I enjoy the occassional freeroll. Its all about how Im feeling at the time and if Im gonna play the whole 3-4-5 hrs. Hard to bluff, early on with ppl. trying to double up, as yous would already know.
    lol, I beleive I won $3.60 once.
    Is it worth it?
not really in my opinion, but then again if you have time....
  • I play a lot of free rolls where you have to earn yourpoints to get in. This actually makes the play a little better and these free rolls have a 4K or 20K prize pool. Which means you actually make some money if you cash. There's nothing like playing for 4 hours and making $1.25 to say ya I'm a winner
  • Haha i'm such a freeroll junkie! Go from site to site getting the free start up money and playing their free rolls.

Won a 4GB ipod nano from VC poker, their free rolls are over for this year, but next year you should all play their Maxim Free Rolls. Two per day, 9 am 3pm top 27 of 300 make weekly final. Weekly final consists of 350-400 where top 9 get prizes all of which are pretty sweet. I came third. Second was a PSP and a game, first was entry to the live final at London hosted by maxim. Winner of that got 5k pounds 3 trips to parties/photo shoots.

I currently play Absolute free rolls, they have like a dozen a day, winner is only 10$ or sometimes a t-shirt or hat, but top 5 make it a weekly 1000$ free roll.
