Brantford on a monday

Just wondering what the 5/10 action's like on a typical monday. How many tables and what time they break typically. What about Sunday night? Will they have games going all through the night? Thanks.

  • I had a session Sunday night. When I got there, the $5/$10 list had about 20 people on it, and the $10/$20 had about 10 people. I signed up for both to see which was going to be faster and got a seat on the $5/$10 in about 45 minutes when they made a new table. The poker room was FULL, so they had to use the extra tournament tables in the next room over. Sunday is a busy day, I guess.

For weekdays, I'd assume that it isn't too busy during the day because people are at work. It may reach it's peak around dinner time when people get off from work.

Mind keeping an eye out for the 2-5 game? I'm curious when they spread it (or if they still do)..
  • 2/5 Runs from Monday at noon till Friday at noon. They don't run it on the weekends because of the big demand for the higher limit games.
  • What's the rake on $2-$5?

  • I played $2-$5 this Saturday. They usually don't open it weekends but they do if there is enough people interested.
  • Went to brantford for the first time today. sat down at 11, 3 tables going at the time, 5-10, 10-20, and 20-40. The 2-5 game started up a little after 12. Steady traffic through the afternoon, mostly for 5-10 and 10-20. By early evening there were 6 full tables going and when I left at 10:30, I think there were 8. They just started a 50-100 game. I was blown away by how young most of the people in that game were. Almost all were under 30, some looked to be under 25. Also noticed 2 females (who looked pretty young) playing in that game which was interesting/impressive.

Overall, I was very impressed with the poker room, nicer than Rama and very spacious. And most importantly, quiet and away from the slots. My ears weren't ringing leaving a casino for once. I was also surprised by how busy it was on a monday. I'm guessing there's pretty consistent traffic/action throughout the week. For those interested, only one 2-5 table was going the whole day/night. And the rake's the smae as Rama, or the 5-10, 10% $5 max so very steep.
