  • Basically, all poker rags are is adverts for poker rooms, tourneys, online rooms, etc. I would just look at the online version.
  • I subscribe to Canadian Poker Player magazine, and buy Card Player monthly. I would recomment both. They're like getting a new strategy/theory book every month...well, like a page or four anyways. Always lot's of good stuff to think about, and often new ways of looking at specific situations or idea's. Having said that, of course there is the occasional waste of time article, or the one writer who I don't really like, but much more good than bad. As was mentioned before though....ton's of advertising for the poker sites/rooms etc. I have noticed that you can read almost the whole magazine on line for free though so, if you prefer free...

    Anyways...that's my free advertising for those two.

  • thanks. if the price is right, I much perfer reading something in my hands than off the computer screen... I may have a laptop, but I dont' like to take it to the toilet for reading :P nor can I take it on the bus, or read between classes etc;
  • Pick 'em up for free at the B&M.
  • You can't go wrong with Canadian Poker Player.
  • I subscribe to CardPlayer -- you get 2 issues monthly.
    It's true you can read most of the good articles online, but it doesn't replace reading up on poker strategy while sitting on the throne.
    The $CAD price for a subscription vs. the $US price sucks, but it's still well worth the money.

    Man flirting alert!!!!

    When I was in the hospital people brought me every poker magazine ever printed. It was great! I enjoyed reading every one of them, and I continue to read Bluff, CardPlayer and Canadian Poker Player.

    Note: I do not go for that sort of thing. I was drunk last night, and it seemed a funny joke at the time :D
  • Do not try to blame your blatant man flirt off on some "I was drunk" excuse. We are far too intelligent to fall for something like that.

    A man flirt is a man flirt, drunk or not.
  • You can get these mags for free at any local poker room, no need to subscribe. They have a lot of interesting information, good articles, put it this way, it can't hurt your poker game, or can it?
