Professional Poker Tour

Has everyone heard about the WPT's new spin off type show. The Professional Poker Tour. It's going to be run more like pro golf, with invitation only events, and players having to qualify for a tour card. Sounds like it will be like the WPT without the no names, weekly on the travel channel. It was tied up in lawsuits over network rights or something but now it's a go. I LOVE watching good poker shows so I'm looking forward to this. Thought I'd tell anyone who cares/didn't know.

    interesting stuff, hope it pans out for i too love good poker shows :)

    They've already recorded some events. First event was like 2 years ago, where they filmed 1 season without a broadcasting deal yet, which caused them to skip production this season (05-06), but I belive they will start filming again.

    Excellent, I look forward to this.

    however, my favourite things to watch are the quick runs through MTT's, showing how the pros are playing with no-names and eachother early in a tornament..

    I heard about the PPT. A restricted/invitational league that should make for some good Poker TV. Does anyone know when it's going to start?
