DEGREE Walk Up Seats - Here Are the Details

For those of you that want details on how to get into the DEGREE tournament (if you have not been pre-selected), here are the details from the Fallsview Casino website.  To win one of the 350 walk up seats, you must visit the Degree Poker Registration Desk between 8am and 10am on either May 3, 4, 5 or 7th.  Draws will take place at 10:15am in the Galleria.  Names will be selected until all spots have been filled. May 3(100 seats), May 4 (90 seats), May 5(80 seats) May 7(80 seats).  Additional names will be drawn to be put on a waiting list for that day to fill any vacant seats.  Skill testing question will also be asked (that could be a problem for some based on previous posts).  Seats will be assigned to the 1pm and 6pm seasons.

Anybody know if there are any other tournaments happening at the other local casinos on these days (Seneca, Casino Niagara)?

Good luck to everyone!

  • Thanks for the info, I guess if I leave now I'll walk right into the date on the right time...... on second thought I guess I'll hitch a ride.
  • I did it last year. Drove two hours.... waited arround another 3 hours with what seemed to be a thousand other desparate souls. Didn't get called. Drove home another two hours!
Needless to say, I won't be travelling down that road again!
  • anyone know how the format is going to be? Is it a shoot out styl? Do you have to win your group to move on win your table?.
  • I too, was wondering the format for this Degree Poker Championship also. If anyone has any experence from last year I would love to find out what i'm getting into.
As I have won my seat i'll probabaly bring my wife and a friend along and hopefully they get one of these walk up seats. Once again if anyone has experienced this tournament last year or can accutaly find its formant could you please pass it on to us here at the forum. Thanks Can't wait.... :as
  • Round 1 is Elmination. I believe it's a total of 250 players per round, and you play to the top 25, who advance to Round 2. Round 1 you will get moved from table to table until only 25 remain. Round 2, you will remain at one table and play to the winner of the table, who will move to Round 3.
  • thats awesome, may 3rd is the first day I'm allowed back in the city! :D
