Set vs Straight or Flush

Am I a hammerhead for calling this? When he raised me I knew he had to have the straight or the flush on the turn. Call 1 bet and then muck to a bet on the river or muck right away?

Comments

  • I would have lost two more bets on the turn.
  • I don't think you can fold on the turn just for $4 more into a pot that is already $29. you're getting a bit better than 7 to 1 on your call to see if the river pairs the board (10 outs)... you can do the math.
  • I would also very often 3-bet the turn, depending on the player. Folding a set heads up in limit holdem is just ridiculous.
  • If he somehow reveals his cardsto show you his straight or flush you should still call his turn raise. Not quite sure how folding is a consideration given the pot size at that time.
