It wasn't an ALL IN fest but given that its a free tourney and players get in by luck of the draw its not quality poker early on. In fact I had 3 players at my table that had never played holdem EVER. They didn't last very long but it was brutal early. Much like any other tournament as the blinds increased it became a push fest, but all in all it was very well run IMO.
We're now caught up on the recent confirmations. Good luck to everyone still hoping to get in with today's 4th (of 5) round draw. We got our fingers crossed!

Thanks Zithal, I'm (im)patiently waiting with my inbox open.
Just read the prize structure on the degree website and it states that the winner will qualify for a seat in 'an international championship' event but does not specify which one. Last year it was specifically a seat in the 'WSOP Main Event'. Can anybody confirm what tournament they may be referring to this year?
Can't believe how lucky some of you are, being drawn last year AND this year. I was in for the very first draw both last year and this. Nothing! Nada! I even went down to Fallsview last year to see if I could get one of the walkup seats. No luck there either.... Guess they just don't like me.... sniff.....
Q: What is the story with the walk-up seats? Will they be allocated the same as last year?
A: Due to the overwhelming response and attendance for last year’s walk-up draw, we’ve increased the number of seats available from 100 last year to a minimum of 300 this year. At least 75 seats will be allocated to winners of the walk-up raffle at the beginning of each day of preliminary play. The raffle will take place at the front entrance of the casino (signage will be in position to direct) and will open at 8:00am. At 10:00am, the draw will take place, and if you’re lucky enough to possess a winning ticket, you will be placed in one of the later rounds that day.

So basically there will be no walk-ups playing in the first morning rounds?

Don't know when just yet
Need to do better than the last time.
Edit: But you can try to go there live and get one of the 300 walk-up seats.
How does the walk up work?
Were there lineups of people last year?
Thanks for any info you can give me.
