Just a heads up. Daily Planet is having a week of Vegas segments on the show (which don't suck like that Breaking Vegas crap btw), and they're talking about poker tomorrow with Negreanu.
Ok, I thought it was well done, but I really didn't like how they had Steve Paul-Ambrose show his HUD and explain how to use it. I think it may turn off casual players if they see people are so serious about it. On another note, what was with that loser who had that earpiece/mic for his cell phone while he was playing with Negreanu.
Yeah, I was on the the table with the "borg", (for all of you star trek fans). The guy thought he was all that, too bad he looked like a stooge with that thing in his ear. (hey buddy, the backstreet boys called, they need their mic back!)
For any who missed the episode, you can watch the vidoe clip on the web site (http://www.exn.ca/dailyplanet/) and go to the "Watch the Show". The entire week has been quite interesting, with features on casino security, how comps are calculated etc.
A lot of guys think they look cool by showing off their hi-tech gear or wearing sunglasses at the poker table. That so-called "loser" beat Negreanu heads-up and won the same Negreanu prize package that I did. I was at that same tournament and saw myself several times in the episode.
The best part was when he called the K-9o that the guy was holding.
I read his blog once in a while and he talked about it a while ago:
"4-handed, I was on a relatively short stack with the chip leader in the small blind. I moved all in with 5d 7d and the small blind looked at his cards and hesitated.
I sensed that he had a marginal hand and was able to instantly narrow down his holdings based on a couple of clues I'll share with you in a minute. I looked right at him and said, "You aren't seriously thinking about calling me with that K-9 off suit are you?"
He chuckled... then showed the crowd K-9! I gave myself a pat on the back, but this was no magic trick. "
Borg=over rated. Tonight's episode on bots was cool, I have poker academy, which uses their intelligence, and it is quite good for working on your game.

anyhow, what program was the guy using?? poker tracker??
If you're talking about Ambrose he was using Pokertracker with PokerAce HUD.
