Mine:

Give Give Give Me More More More - The Wonder Stuff
Political - Spirit of the West

I love the fact that poker crosses generations, but I really hate when it makes me feel old!  A remake of a song from my youth is now a song from someone else's youth.  Yikes -- here's one for austin powers.

    Here's my list:

Heartbeat, it’s a Love Beat – DeFranco Family
Knock Three Times -- Tony Orlando and Dawn
Disco Duck - Rick Dees (yep, the guy from the Rick Dees' top 40)

All Aces, we clearly have very similar musical tastes, and if you ever want to swap mp3's, I'm your man. I use a program called soulseek, and have about 1000 albums on there.

I just came back from seeing the Silver Jews in Detroit this weekend which I assume is a band you're familiar with, and if not you should be.

    Cheers
  • My list could be 50 songs long, some great ones already listed.

These three always make me smile though:

Ok, I can get over the Boston Bruins things, maybe even the Red Sox, but E, c'mon...ONLY Roth era VH......Sammy was a way better singer the DLR, and he could write better songs too! Ok, the best VH ablums are VH1 and 1984, but 5150 and F.U.C.K rocked too!!!!
  • LOL...Great thread....

    The Pusher - Steppenwolf
Long Hard Road Out of Hell - Marilyn Manson
Malaguena Salerosa - Chingon (from the Kill Bill Soundtrack)
    I Want You (She's So Heavy) - The Beatles & Type O Negative's version...both are great.
Forsaken - David Dramain of Disturbed (Queen of the Damned Soundtrack)

LOL...well I agree with you, Sammy is a great front man, a very decent guitar player but for some reason I just can't accept him as the front man for VH...I appreciate his talent but it's just one of those things...and yes some of the post Roth stuff I love but I love the Roth stuff more even if it is cheesier!
