I'm in there as well. I never win Lottery type shit though. I remember a few years ago, I was the only one of a group of five friends who didn't get Conan O brien Tickets when he was in Toronto.

Tournament will apparently be open to 3,000 players with 2,643 seats available online. Do you think the other 357 seats will be available for walk-ins or "special" invited players (maybe repeat players from last year, etc.)? How did the walk-in work last year? Do you just show up on the hopes that a segment of the 2,643 players don't show up on the day of the tournament and these are then open to the public or were there a pre-assigned number of seats for walk-in players?
The prizes are posted, and we are registered as well. I hope we at least get choosen this year. And hopefully we can get a few forum members through to the final.

Anyone have any idea how last year's winner did at the WSOP?
The WSOP was pretty crazy…in fact Vegas was pretty crazy. I had a tough first day of it as I sat at a really aggressive table and it took me a while to settle in. A long dry run of cards forced me to be at the top of my game and I entered day 2 as a low stack working with just under 10 000 chips (Media typo has me out on day 1). Day 2 I started to settle into my groove though, making some early moves to get up to 15K before my luck ran out. For the poker players reading this, I will break down the final hand:
A-Q on the button, everyone folds to me. I go standard raise, three times the big blind. Small blind folds, big blind calls and I like my situation. Flop comes down A-Q-10 and Im sitting on top two pair. The big blind pushes all in. At this point my only concern was K-J but I had him on A low kicker. I call and he turns over A-J. Turn was a rag and the river was the dreaded king making his straight and ending my tournament. That is a hand I will never forget.
Somehow they've been able to create less play this year than in last (rounds are now 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes)... check out the prelim rounds... I've include the blinds along with the M of a starting stack...
The jump from level 2 to 3 is insane (just like last year). There's no way they'll be able to do a full rotation in one blind level (20 minutes with 10 player tables), so a valid strategy may just be to do nothing for the first 40 minutes, ($2,000 down to $1,775), then push at will starting on level 3, when the chips on the table jump from $150 to $550 pre-deal.

Any other thoughts on the format?
Rob, that sounds like a really good plan. Wow, I can't believe how much sense it makes. Haha.
