Steve-Paul Ambrose

As many of you are aware a young UW student won the Bahamas Poker Stars tourney.

He is now part of the 9 - member sponsored Poker Stars Team.

Just wondering if anyone knows this kid??

I think it would be great if we could get him out to a Bristol or Westside tourney to see a local "celeb" in action.

Anybody know him?

Supplimental: He is very humble about his win - saying it was pretty much all luck - any comments??

How cool would it be to be an average player having a lucky day to get 1.3 million and a sponsorship from Stars!!

agree :) I might be able to play a llittle more poker with that roll...
  • I work with one of this gent's friends. I will see if we can't get him to make an appearance.
  • I talked to him for about an hour today, it turns out i have met him a couple times before. Definitely a nice guy and just as humble in person, he seems very level-headed about his win and life in general and unlike most poker players responsible with the money. I don't know what the chances of getting him out to a game are, he seems to play mostly online still and when he plays live it's obviously higher stakes.
