Where ya bin?

As far as the hand:
Preflop:
I hate doubling the blinds, I think I'd have been inclined to make it 3600 to go.
Flop: Given there's already a fairly sizeable pot in there and you've flopped such a favourable draw, I'm not 100% sure what play I like here. I don't hate pushing, but I think I like the C/R allin. The bet screams strength and should get some fold equity, and if they call you've got a ton of outs even against a hand as strong as a set (12 outs with flush draw + gutshot). Against a top pair type hand, your overcards give you even more outs. I can't see all my chips NOT going in on this flop.
Turn: Ugly card given villain peeled one. I think I would have been inclined to take the cheap draw at the flush on the turn rather than get into a limit raising war there. The 4 card straight is scary, especially with villain peeling the cheap flop bet. Villian didn't realize how vulnerable his hand was, and could have paid dearly if a club fell (other than the 7c).
River: The board pairing and the 4 card straight on the river is ugly. I don't see much you're beating. I think I fold, but I guess the tough part is that you've dumped close to half your stack in the pot already. Tough hand.

As for the hand, I mostly agree with Scooby's assessment.
Re-opening the action on the turn with a check-raise for the minimum amount is too much high risk/low reward IMO. The turn card, though it improves your hand, is real ugly. After you check, your opponent makes a bet which is small enough that you even have immediate pot odds to draw to 9 outs. I'd take the cheap river card here. (It turns out that you actually have only 5 outs, but this is unlikely enough to discount in the hand analysis.)
On the actual river, I think this is a nice fold facing a pot that has gotten fairly big.
After all the min-betting and min-raising, I think that your opponent is actually the one with the tough decision on the river. Although you having a full house is made less likely given that one of the remaining Jacks is accounted for, this is still a high-card paired board. I'd even consider checking behind with the straight on the end, not because I think my hand is no good, but because it would seem to be rarely good if called.

C l, does this mean we will be seeing new emoticons soon?
apparently I'm that slow
getting ready to read some amazing wsop 2006 trip reports from all_aces and dave
am i too early?
and other trip reports frm pokerforum elite members like yourself
hard to say cuz old habits are hard to break or not?
and move in on the flop
what do you guys think?
IIRC, i played pretty tight up to this point
That sounds like a reasonable way to play it.
The exact pre-flop bet size is a little on the high side, but it's certainly not crazy. I find that something between 3,000 and 4,000 is usually enough to "get the job done", as Dave S might say.
