for the record, I was speaking with a dealer at Point Edward last week, and he mentioned that they may begin a Saturday Morning tournament series. This may be more appealing to you.
I'd imagine that weekdays are a bit slow around the poker tables, that's why they have the tourneys then.
On the weekends, they can make more $$$ of the ring games.

Where are you from?
There are loads of Home Game tournaments in and around Kitcher-Waterloo and Guelph, and GTA. Most are $20- $100 range, and without the rake/fee.
Use the "Home Games" section to find one in your area. Or host one yourself.

Personally, I'd rather play a HGT,like KPS, Bristol,WestsidePC, Cook Crew, etc. I enjoy playing with my friends locally.
