Me Again, and I have Kings again.
It's funny, I just got a trial for poker tracker in in my first thousand hands, I am 100% sucessful wtih KK. AA is only a 54% winner. Odd no?
Live however, I can't seem to get ahead with this hand.
I wonder how badly I played this or if this was correct but with a poor result.
VERY FIRST HAND of a small live tournament. All players have 3000 in chips, blinds are 25-50 I'm in middle position with the two red Kings. UTG limps and all fold to me. I make a 3xBB raise to 150(thids may be too little given the limper in the pot I realize afterward)
The player immediately to my left calls quickly, and all fold to the BB who calls. The original limper folds, which was quite surprising to me since he need only put in 100 with the pot at 500. Anyway....
Flop is 892 with two clubs. BB checks, I bet 300, player to my left folds.
BB now check raises me up to 500, I have to remind him that this raise is illegal and he'll need to bet at least 600.
I should explain something about this player. I know very little about him, although I see him often at these weekly tournaments. He is typically drunk or high, and I don't think much of him to be honest. He has a reputation as the kind of guy who either luckily amasses chips early or goes broke. I very much think my Kings are still the best hand. So I rearaise, making it 1200 back to him. I now have over two thirds of my stack in the middle.
The turn is the 5d
He immiediately pushes. I no longer have any idea what is happening here. However, given that the pot contains about 5 grand now, I figure I have to call.
What do you do here? What would you have done in the earlier stages of the hand?
I'll post the results afterward.
Cheers

You could have made it 200 to go but I dont't know how much that solves given the fact that they were willing to call the 150 knowing full well that there was a UTG limper who could possibly be limp raising here.
Too much information not given to give a really accurate answer, so I would likely say to call given how much you already have in the middle.
What happened?
It sounds to me like you are about to hit a wall, but then again, I have been wrong once or twice in my life.
In any case, I agree with the above advice. More of a raise preflop.
The River was an Ace of course.
He told me later that he knew I had a big hand, but he finds it impossible to play in these measly 50 dollar buy in events, as he just doesn't care.
I guess next time I'll just push the flop, then I can post about how he called and won, and ask whether or not pushing here was correct.
