New to the poker scene sort of...looking for games/a good humbling.

Hey,

I post on here a little, but read it daily and I can't help but wonder how bad or good I actually am. I play online for about 4 hours a day. I play bar games and home games and 2-5 Limit at Brantford. So I play about 30+ hours of poker a week. These games seem pretty easy/medium difficulty, swings of course, but thats HE. I want to play some real cards against people who will likely thrash me and treat me like a wallet they found on the street. My email is josh@twmerch.com. I have no car (5 accidents :)) and live in the Waterloo area.

Not sure what I am really asking for except maybe a few games or some guidance.

  • There's lots of people here from Waterloo, but don't forget about the forum tournies on Stars. There's one next week on Tuesday and its NL hold'em.
  • Several people from the Waterloo area would be glad to give you a lift to the tournaments in town, just post and ask. Getting home with me is usually a problem as I usually last a bit longer then most, and I'm usually drunk! Try the KPS tournaments and Bristol St.'s of course for the toughest in town. Oh, don't forget about Beanies!

  • Thanks so far.

I am playing the Bristol Legends Tourny..1D (March 9th). I'm hoping to gain a ton of prespective at that. (Unless I got all in first hand with AA and lose.)
