What would you do?

Hey guys just looking for some advise on what you would do?

this is a 50+5 with 451 people to start. We are getting close to the money (40 spots pay) there are 70 ppl left.

I'm McTib and I am in the Small Blind

I have played with biscuit20 and ntvbingo for awhile and have seen them play a wide range of hands. But biscuit20, is alittle more reckless.

  • I say raise all-in here.
  • No question to push here. Yes there is a straight possibility and a flush possibility. But when else are you going to push? I would be shocked if Biscuit called it too.
  • Perhaps I'm in the minority but I think I may just lay this one down, vey hard though. I don't like the two smooth calls and then the "all-in" when he likely expects to get called....A lot of chips left too.

  • Am I wrong to be worried about one of the 3000 smooth callers to have a set or even have flopped a straight?

cause while I played this hand I was not worried about the push all in... it was the fact that my 3000 got called cold by 2 people?
  • My first instinct is to lay this hand down..you have enought to make a stand somewhere else..it would suck to go out wtih 2 pair when there is a flush possibility and a straight on the board.
I mean, you may pair the board and smoke it, but why put your tourney on the line for it?
I could be wrong tho.. ?
    what did you do?
  • This is a tough lay down, but you got to lay it down.

Now this is what you did...

After you testosterone leveled off, you thought to yourself "F that, I ain't getting bullied out of a pot with top two pair" You went all-in and lost. Now your hear crying about it :'(
  • What does the prefop raiser have? Do you think hes going to push on that board with a bet and 2 callers before him with AK.....no. And he probabbly doesnt raise preflop there with A10 or JK and since you have AQ that narrows it down more. I say probbably a set of 10's. It's less unlikely that he has a set of Q's or A's but it is possible.
I'm only talking about what the preflop raiser has, you also have to deal with the two smooth calls. Anyways I fold, you have plenty of chips left after this hand compared to the blinds. If he is trying to steal with a weaker hand, than all the power to him.

  • I've busted out on this hand when TWO guys held KJ for the straight. With a min raise and 4 players, KJ is a very likely holding.

Although your hand is good, it is unlikely to be best right now. Odds of improving are only 17%, assuming you have 4 outs. God knows I've folded to the straight when the river would have brought me a FH, too...

I wouldn't have put this many chips in after the flop. I'd also fold to the all-in albeit reluctantly. Re-raising pre-flop might have helped against KJ but not against TT, QQ or AA.
  • Is the smooth call pre-flop a mistake by me?
  • I would instapush, then I would bust and actually think about the hand afterwards. I'm really not sure I want to fold in this huge pot but you're probably beat. I guess you can make a reluctant fold, though then AT holds up against Kxc it's going to suck.
