What he said.
the easiest way to deal with a tough situation is not to get into it in the first place...
bingo!
easy to say, hard to do, for what it's worth I think that is an easy fold UTG.
If your table image is loose or unestablished, it's an easy fold.
If someone raises, it's easy to see where you stand. You are behind.
Fair enough, my point was you would probably have to fold anyways.
I think when your first bet was called, you needed to slow down on the turn.
Also, the UTG raise wasn't the best move.
Yes. You should fold this UTG. But, you didn't so... on with the hand.
You got your wish (I guess) and nobody raised behind you. So, you got to the flop for just $400. You have hit the flop, but you are not comfortable. You have a VERY vulnerable hand out of position. Someone with as little as :as is in a virtual dead heat with you.
I probably check here. I am interested in getting some sense for where I *might* be at. Check and fold to big action is fine. I want to play a SMALL pot with this hand.
AAALLLLAAARRRMMMMM. You might be beat. He might have a draw. He might have a worse queen. The point is you have very little sense of where you are at.
It is easy, have seent he results, to have predicted this outcome. But, even without peeking this was one of the obvious possible results. I would reccomend against getting all my chips into the pot without have a good idea of where I am at.
