I flopped top set with 88 earlier and won a decent pot against a slowplayed KK.  I had TT that AK hand and would have turned a set, though I wouldn't have called the push. Whoa you have a lot of chips too how'd that happen?

Nice.  Good laydown with the TT... you were in bad shape on the flop.

I just doubled up, holding 9hTh.  One limper, I limp, blinds complete and check.  Flop QJx with 2 hearts.  Beautiful.  I call a small bet.  Turn brick.  I call a small bet.  (This guy is pricing me in and then some).  River an offsuit 8, giving me the stone cold nuts.  He bets big, I raise, he moves in, I call.  He had AQ... no raise preflop + small flop bet + small turn bet = UGHN.

Softer field, but the structure seems good too though I'm not sure about the small antes, I guess I'll find out if i make it that far. People say Stars field is relly weak too i just never seem to get a good table draw but what I've seen so far on Party is much weaker.

Ouch 4 outer.  i think you should have pushed the turn I can't imagine him folding after that big bet but the result would be the same in all likelihod.

Yeah... the reason I didn't push with the hand on the turn was because I was holding the stone cold nuts, and with the size of our stacks and the size of the pot, I knew we'd be going for all of the chips on the river anyway.  Figured that if he was bluffing, I'd give him one more chance to bluff the river.

blast im out of the big stars tourney, ran my stack up to 10k when the average was 5k, when this happened

he checks, i bet 400 with my open ender, he raises to 800....now what do u do? he seemed like a normal tight player, tho i had seen him make a pot sized bet bluff that failed

i figured he could have anything really, from a bluff, a draw, to some weak pair or even 2 pair.i chose to raise to 2200....and i cursed myself for not flat calling when he went allin. And then I probably compounded my mistake by not calling his allin, because it was 4000 more to win 8800....but if i folded i still had 7500, while if i called and lost id be down to 3500....basically i wussed out tho i thought he might have a flush draw which coulld have me in pretty bad shape. (he said he had a/8)

Then later as soon as the antes had started, this 10k stack raised 2 outta 3 hands (first from the cutoff, then from MP), and the 2nd time i tried to resteal from my BB and he pushed....lost another 2000 there He was new to our table, but well I figured he was just stealing....I'm not sure if this was a smart play either. He showed aces when i folded.

Personally I would just call with the OESD there and hope to hit. If he's giving to give you huge odds by minraising it's usually best to take them unless you have a good reason to think you can push him out.

I wasn't 100% sure if it was him at the time but the guy I knocked out with the A9 is one of the top online tournament players, and his pushing range is likely huge there since he's not trying to weak-tight his way into the $$. Unfortunately for him I wasn't either.
