"Find me the rulebook, and show me where it says about smelling."

LOL - did anyone see this guy in the smelly David Beckham jersey at the WSOP? He was super annoying yelling/screaming guy at the table and the floor tried to force him to go take a shower. He said he did in the morning, but it was his lucky jersey that smelled. They tried to force him to leave and he dropped one of the best lines in WSOP history. In the end they couldn't make him leave.

I agree, nothing is worse then sitting next to smelly dudes - especially when they start letting huge farts rip right at the table. In a home game with buddies - this type of behaviour is expected and laughed at. In the B&M it's certainly not. I think there should be a 30 minute penalty for any dude who sharts at a casino poker table.

  • Yeah..it was hilarious.
Guess anything you can do (within the rules) to get an advantage.

He's some comedian from England, I think.
Did you see the episode, where he had put tape over his mouth so that he wouldn't get another penalty for swearing.... :D

  • Anybody think there might be a some sort of "personal hygeine" rule added this year? Or would that potentially affect like 2/3rds of the field? :)
  • How about a "no obnoxious people" rule, eliminating over 99% of the field? :)

That would be a great rule. WSOP Main Event Entries - 4.

You know who is annoying and I would probably get a penalty for telling him off, Ivey.
  • explain how phil ivey is annoying?
  • By sitting there with no expression change and hardly saying a word.

wes tell me you aren't serious... these are not things that i would call annoying
  • He is probably being facetious...haha.

Anyway, I think he is annoying in the sense that he may be good and make great bets...he is a bit of a flake. He whines about bad beats, rolls his eyes at A 10 calls when he has mid pair. I dunno, I just watch too much TV maybe, but it seems he is pretty elitist.
  • You sure you have the right "Phil" there?
  • I think you must be thinking and talking about Mr. Hellmuth instead of Ivey.
  • haddon really better be talking about hellmuth... i'm a big fan of phil ivey

  • HaHa

I am definately talking about Ivey. But since there are SOOOO many Phil Ivey fans on this board I will fold this one and walk away.

it wasn't meant to be "fite in wurds".... but really i don't think there's anything wrong with phil ivey... good fold.

I agree with Haddon on this one. Phil's annoying with all his skill and winning (not whining), quiet professionalism, etc... I mean, honestly, who needs that stuff in poker.
  • If someone finds Phil Ivey offensive even in the slightest, I'd be amazed if this person could watch a poker game on TV and not have a brain hemmorage.

Or take a trip to your local B&M if you really want to test yourself... If anything, Ivey is probably one of the classiest, quietest, LEAST annoying pros I can possibly think of...

Let's not forget that he's an *OK* player too!!!! LOL

He's always been one of my favorites.

  • Yeah, well....WWE sucks too!!

    BOOM!
  • For the record my post was tongue in cheek sarcasm since Phil Ivey is one of my favorite players as well. Just wanted y'all to be clear on that. :-)

    Steve
  • thanks for clarifying steve, i didn't really think you could be serious.
  • Does Phil Ivey smell bad? :D
  • Had to comment, just read this thread. Haddon is just trying to annoy all of us!....try to ignore him! LOL
  • YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE SUCKS SEAN??

    UFC!

    Booyawkasha!
  • ARGHHHHH....the deliberate annoying-ness continues!!!!!!! LOL
  • Smelling bad is not nearly as bad as playing bad. I would rather sit next to a smelly player than a lucky lousy player
