"Best overall" fisherman and poker player

I need some help... I'm planning a fishing trip with a few of my buddies (3 of them to be exact, 4 of us total).  In addition to betting on who catches the largest fish, and in addition to betting on each individual poker game we play, I'd like us to bet on a "best overall" title.

Assuming we play 3 poker games, tournament-style, do you think this is an accurate system for measuring who is the best fisherman AND poker player?

Any first place finish: 5 points
Any second place finish: 3 points
Any third place finish: 2 points
Any last place finish: 0 points
 
Biggest fish: 20 points
Next biggest fish: 16 points
Next biggest fish: 14 points
Next biggest fish: 12 points
Next biggest fish: 10 points
Next biggest fish: 8 points
Next biggest fish: 6 points
Next biggest fish: 4 points
Next biggest fish 2 points
Any other fish: 0 points

I think this might be weighted a little too heavily towards the fishing side of things... maybe more points for the poker results?

    Where are you going fishing and more importantly what for
    We have 10 guys that go to a hunt camp back in the bushes between two lakes near Temagami.
    We fish for Pickeral, Bass, Lake Trout,Pike primarily
    I had a Huge Yellow shirt Made up With a pix of a pickeral on the front, Each day we determine who got the biggest fish and they would sign the shirt with date, species and size, then they had to wear the shirt for the next day, like the Tour de France
    Our fishing prizes were done by species, only bonus was for first catch of the day (any species)
    set up size quidelines, (must be over 14" or some thing like that)
    Points for number of fish, total weight,
    Penalties for falling out of the boat

    Hope this gives you some ideas

    Ahhhh, yes...POKER AND FISHING!!  My two most favourite pasttimes!!

    I think you are WAY to heavy on the fishing side of the equation.  Instead of biggest fish ranking, do something a little bit different.

    Biggest Fish        10 points
    2nd Biggest        8  points
    First Fish             5 points
    Most Fish Caught  5 points
    Most fish caught while drunk   20 points (this will really get things moving, and the beer flows quite nicely)

    Your poker points should be adjusted to compensate as well.  10 points for 1st, 5 for second, 2 for third, and chump buys the next round of beers.

    If you need a fifth for this trip, I have my fly rod ready :D

    Modify chips dependant on success fishing, bonus chips or biggest, longest, heaviest, etc.

    Usually doesn't matter by that point. :D The most sober one is taken at his word most times.

    Is it a private camp or something you rent?

    Private Camp, Pretty rustic when we started going but a new bunkhouse, and outhouse have made it a palace, of sorts. Not fancy, but cetainly suits our needs, right on the Temagami canoe trail so occasionally you see someone else. A waterfall between the 2 lakes is your shower for the week ( and the hot water heater doesn't work!)
    Sun drying on the Rocks, with a bub in your hand, can't be beat
