When Matusow bet into the other guy's trip aces on the turn and the commentator enthusiastically said with no trace of irony: "Good move here! Matusow's trying to feel him out, see where the kid's at!", I had to stop watching.

OK OK, I watched for a minute longer.  I couldn't look away... I am a weak man. As you pointed out, a car wreck.

Two players saw a flop.  First to act bet out, and the commentator said "Joanna's going to make another re-raise...". 

It was a bet.  Not a raise, so I'm pretty damn sure that means it wasn't a re-raise, either. 

If anyone needs me I'll be jumping off my balcony.  So much money spent on this production, in all the wrong places... I can almost smell their production budget burning to a crisp.
