  • Sorry, I just bolded my point. Rare that I can get this deep without loosing a showdown. Thanks for the luck....

I realize AJ is not a great hand but with your stack I would throw in a 3X raise and see what happens.
Perhaps this is another hole in my game?

Perhaps with a hand other than AJ I would ;) Also, the table was getting very raise happy and I didn't want to face one. Now, on this hand the table was very passive...

  • how did you end up doing in this stp?
  • Ahh, not getting sucked out on. Goes a long way for the short term game ;)

Yeah, i know what you mean with the AJ. Sometimes you just have a feeling that the pot will be raised from someone in late pos and then you'll either have to let the hand go or see a flop feeling really uncomfortable with where you stand. When I'm feeling 'on', I'll fold hands like that from UTG too.

Your current position is 10 out of 117, was the chip leader at the 2nd break but finally lost a showdown....damn battle of the blinds!

I ended up 31/1032 in this tournament for a measly $31. I pushed on the button with AJ (of course) and got called by the small with AQ, unlucky me. Finished 14/16 in showdowns, good times.

  • Looks like you should just avoid AJ in general stp. Tough way to go out.

Yeah, short handed table of 7 I like my odds with AJ. Especially when it's folded to me on the button. Why couldn't he have A10 like I wanted him to :'( This Corona sure is making me feel better about it though :) In all fairness though, I'll tell you, It's much better to get eliminated by a better hand then get beat by an inferior one. Yes, now everyone can say together...all at once "Thanks Captain Obvious!". I'm just sayin.

    Thanks for railbirdin' me...Wes

  • I fold AJo UTG a lot too, it's probably my default play though I am pretty tight.

I like those odds too. The only time he'd have AT is when you fold :D
Overall looks like a very good game. Got beat in the end by a better hand.

    Congrats

Sure, it's at your disposal. I hate when guys question your play when they have no idea what my hole cards were. I could be bluffing, I could have a read I could have clicked the wrong button....I could....just worry about your own play lol.

  • I won this SnG, but I think my stats are very odd.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 128 hands and saw flop:
    - 10 out of 28 times while in big blind (35%)
    - 8 out of 28 times while in small blind (28%)
    - 11 out of 72 times in other positions (15%)
    - a total of 29 out of 128 (22%)
    Pots won at showdown - 4 of 7 (57%)
Pots won without showdown - 25

The things I find odd are-

    I folded 65% of my BB's preflop
    I folded 72% of my SB's preflop
I only saw 15% of the flops from other positions
    I only won 4 of 7 showdowns
My stats for no showdown were incredible, considering the number of hands I was actually in, most of the time I was able to push players off the pot before it even got to a showdown.
  • This is somewhat off topic, but does anyone have a jixn hand?

Mine seems to be A 10, being slightly worse then what A-J being tossed pre flop. I have lost with A-10 in about half the final tables I have played at in the last six months, losing out to A-7, 2/2 (can live with this), JQ, 8/6 off (....).

Seems to be a problem hand for me, but I play it right, these are all in situations when I have position or need to double up and get outdrawn.

Anyone seem to have a reccuring jinx hand?

AA. By far my worst hand ever. I know it shouldn't be, but it is.

Q9 on the other hand...... :D:D:D LOVIN IT!!!
